Selecting a professional headshot photographer in Denver can be a daunting task, but it doesn’t have to be that way! Proper studio lighting is paramount to shooting top-quality headshots. Natural lighting from a window or skylight is often the way to go but if need be lighting umbrellas can also be used for proper shadowing effects on the subject. An experienced Denver headshot photographer needs to be able to connect with his or her clients in such a way to make them feel relaxed and confident. Body language is a huge part of headshot photography. Professional headshots are hard enough to capture when the subject is having a pretty good day emotionally but can be a nightmare when they are having a really bad day, as most of us have a great deal of trouble when it comes to hiding our emotions. from Jennifer Carillo’s WP Blog http://ift.tt/2fcKK0Z via WordPress http://ift.tt/2wA0B4C The top wines in the world are meant to be enjoyed over a meal with family and friends. Attempt to maintain the wine on a surface such as a white table cloth, plain white plate, napkin or alternative sterile surface. At this point, you need to notice the depth of color from the rim. To completely comprehend the ramifications in this case, it will help to have a understanding of a wine must search for its grape varietal, growing season and era. For the time being, we’re likely to concentrate on Bordeaux wine, that is a combination dominated by Merlot or Cabernet Sauvignon. To get a Bordeaux wine, the wine ought to be dark, displaying a depth of colour from the rim. The color can comprise dark or purple blue, often shiny accents. Richer and deeper colors let the taster understand this is a wine that is concentrated. For my palate, depth and concentration of taste is a good thing. Wines that lack color are going to be lighter ripe and acidic in style. This is natural for wines produced from Pinot Noir. However, for wines produced using Bordeaux types, you wish to see an excellent, rich color. The depth of color is also a beginning indicator of a wines style. An dark Bordeaux is going to be intense, mouth filling reduced and long. Young Bordeaux or youthful Bordeaux styled roses with pale colors will be lighter in flavor, with red fruits compared to brighter and white black . How to Taste Wine, Enjoy Wine, Evaluate Wine like Professional Tasters Too many people make wine too complicated. Wine as a drink that is unique is complicated. Recognizing wine is simple. Comparing wines is much simpler. To get a look at wines scored and are rated when compared to other wines at the peer group read on to see how and why wines scored and are rated in a system. You have looked at the wine already, what’s next in learning to taste wine like an expert? That is easy. When we looked evaluate it, remember? Now, smell, we’re likely to swirl and sniff the wine. The sense of smell is stronger than you realize. It’s a key component to understanding how to taste wine like a sommelier. The difficulty most folks have with wine is “oenophobia,” a panic of wine. The anxiety comes from the a variety of factors starting with unfamiliarity and how to talk about wine and clarify what you’re tasting. How to Examine a glass of wine. The best way to understand the smells, bouquet, aromas or cologne of a wine. Some Connecticut wines are expensive, some inexpensive. The YouTube video below may help you understand how to correctly taste wine and why this one issue should be seriously factored in to your final decision prior to purchasing your next case of vino. from Jennifer Carillo’s WP Blog http://ift.tt/2gU897P via WordPress http://ift.tt/2eXx4Kx Looking for the best wineries in CT? Out for a Sunday drive looking at the beautiful fall foliage, then all of the sudden the wine tasting bug gets you? The Constitution State has much to offer to it’s residents as far as entertainment and vineyard hopping is concerned. Connecticut wineries produce some of the best wines in the Northeast, and some local wine tasting connoisseurs actually believe a few select vineyards in CT are in direct competition with some world famous California vineyards in Napa Valley. How’s that for putting up some stiff competition in the wine tasting arena? https://goo.gl/2BbJVY “People have been tasting wine for thousands of years. People have been making money as wine tasters for more than 100 years. What do they know that you don’t? When it comes to tasting wine and understanding how to evaluate a wine for its qualities and note its faults, after reading this page, not much. Of course they will have a greater understanding on the history of the wine, the grape, the appellation the wine came from, as well as the chemistry behind things, but knowing those types of interesting information are not going to make you a better taster.”
In reality, a wine’s color is due to several factors, including skin contact time and the type of grape varietal the wine is made of. Past experiences may have taught us that whites are more pale yellow when young and turn darker amber as they age. We associate brickish brown red wines as old and deeper purple wines as young. By seeing the color we may make an unconscious predisposition towards that wine.
A wine’s overall quality assessment, based on this examination, follows further careful description and comparison with recognized standards, both with respect to other wines in its price range and according to known factors pertaining to the region or vintage; if it is typical of the region or diverges in style; if it uses certain wine-making techniques, such as barrel fermentation or malolactic fermentation, or any other remarkable or unusual characteristics
You’ll find that your wine knowledge is like a tornado; you learn wine tasting and vineyard jargon more quickly and easily as you move forward in the process. As with anything else in life, hard workers that are self-motivated will graduate to the ranks of professional wine connoisseur much sooner than others who are less driven. https://goo.gl/zHPrQP
If you have a hankering for a smooth Merlot or a dry Chardonnay, or maybe you just want something that’s earthy, fleshy, herbaceous, nutty or oaky. The best wineries in CT have much to offer with a variety of wines and wine tasting events to fully satisfy even the most savvy vineyard dweller.
from Jennifer Carillo’s WP Blog http://ift.tt/2wLeVnG via WordPress http://ift.tt/2xR8Zto Tips for Taking Newborn Photographs – 10 Tricks of the Trade We found some wonderful newborn photography information provided by SLR Lounge dot com, and one of their bloggers, Hanssie. http://ift.tt/2mrvuS5 We’ll add our opinions in along the way but Hanssie did a really great job for the most part as she is really in to newborn photos. So, let’s get started with the ten tips you need to know for getting the most awesome newborn pictures you ever imagined. Newborn photography can seem like a scary field of photography. It’s one thing to photograph landscapes or pose adults who take instruction, but working with something as fragile and unpredictable as a newborn baby can bring out the anxiety in even the most seasoned photographer. Here are a few newborn and baby photography tips to get you started. For more newborn photography tips and tutorials, please visit our Newborn Photography Workshop. Our newborn photography studio offers a full guide to baby and newborn photography, teaching posing, lighting, planning, and post production for newborn photography. Tip Number One. Safety Comes First! Safety should always come first when it comes to newborn and baby photography. The list can get quite extensive for tips on newborn safety, but in general, use your common sense. Never bring in any hard or sharp objects as props. Never place your newborn on high or unsteady surfaces without a spotter. And realize that some of your favorite photos of newborns are actually composites. Focus on Personal Elements and Creativity: Introducing personal elements is part of what makes some of these creative props for newborns so great. However, guitars aren’t the most stable surfaces for newborns so a spotter is enlisted. With the camera on a tripod, the composition of the image does not shift. With a little Photoshop magic, the images are merged and you have the composite image that you see in the first picture. As previously mentioned in the video, the newborn’s safety needs to come before anything else, Period! So any time you see a picture of a baby hanging from a branch or resting on a basketball or in any other precarious position, understand that the images should not be attempted without proper safety and composite techniques for newborn photography. TIP number 2. DON’T FOCUS ON THE Camera GEAR FOR NEWBORN PHOTOGRAPHY You should be able to get amazing newborn and baby photography results with almost any camera and lens if you simply learn the proper lighting, creativity, and camera angles for newborn photography. Though a professional camera like a Canon 5K Mark three, a full frame camera, will give you better overall image quality than an advanced point and shoot camera like a Sony NEX, a camera like the Sony NEX will likely be sufficient for capturing great images of newborns. TIP number three. KEEP YOUR NEWBORN baby COMFORTABLE In newborn photography, you are generally going for two looks, peacefully sleeping or awake and happy. If the baby is uncomfortable, you run the risk of him or her being fussy, potentially crying, and overall causing a difficult time for everyone involved in the shoot. Consider wearing gloves if your hands are cold. Use Heating pads, and consider space heaters if the room is not nice and warm. TIP number four. SELECT THE RIGHT TIMEFRAME FOR NEWBORN PHOTOGRAPHY Your magic window for Newborn Photography is within the first 14 days of birth. Newborns are easiest to work with during this time because they are sleeping for most of the day. They are also the most easy to adjust during this time-frame. Consider taking your baby’s photos after his or her umbilical cord has fallen off (which is typically after 5 days or so). TIP number five. GET YOUR BASIC POSES Setup FIRST FOR your NEWBORN PHOTOGRAPHY sessions Being creative is a large part of being a newborn photographer, but so is making sure you get the basic, must-have shots. You should always start with the basics and move towards the more advanced photos just in case the baby gets too fussy and you have to call off the shoot. Below are some of the basic shots you should get before introducing complex, time-consuming, and difficult photographs. from Jennifer Carillo’s WP Blog http://ift.tt/2ncanBK via WordPress http://ift.tt/2nl1Yeu Six Tips to The Perfect Headshot – How To Take Corporate Headshots the Right Way! Ever wonder why you see so many people getting their picture or portrait taken? I have often wondered the same thing some times. Are these people just ego maniacs, or is there a reason for all this shutter clicking? Headshot photographer, and Blogger, Christina N Dixon, sheds some much needed light on the subject of headshots, and how they should be taken by your headshot photographer. Here are six fantastic tips to obtaining the perfect corporate or professional headshot. https://twitter.com/christina_nd?lang=en So, What exactly are, business headshots? Wikipedia defines a headshot as the following: A headshot is a photographic technique where the focus of the photograph is a person’s face. It would seem to be a simple project for a photographer. After all, you are only worrying about a persons face, and just maybe part of their shoulders. Seriously, how hard can it be? Headshots are a critical piece of many professionals PR packets. A dynamic headshot for models, actors, and other performance professionals will be the difference between acquiring the gig or not. Your clients can be no more excited than if they get a photo session based on the power of their headshot, and of course, this means more jobs for your headshot photography studio. Follow these few tips to achieve the perfect headshot. Tip Number One: Focus on the eyes. The eyes are said to be the window of the soul. Capturing the eyes in a powerful way will draw the viewer into the photo, establishing a strong connection that will speak volumes. Number Two: Watch your angles. Remember that for close up shots, angles will affect the outcome look and feel. For women, make the eyes appear larger and the face more delicate by shooting down on them. For men, emphasize strength and achievement by shooting slightly up. Number Three: Use diffused light. In close up shots, the skin is a central feature. It’s crucial to show the skin without blemishes. Achieve this by using diffused light to gently wrap around the skin, bringing definition along the lines of the face without highlighting blemishes. Number Four: Add a hair light. Detail is critical in head-shots and are no more dynamic than when created with a hair-light. A hair-light can be placed above or behind the subject with a flash, or the sun to add depth to the shot, and pull the top of the head out of the background. Number Five: Use of the correct camera lens. Nothing is more disturbing than a near dynamic headshot that fails, simply because of lens distortion. Generally, avoid mid to wide angle lenses for close headshots. Instead, use a lens that will compress your image and slim your subjects face. Typically use a ninety millimeter lens and above. Number Six: Guide facial expression. The final most important element is an expression to match the purpose of the headshot. It’s your job as photographer to pull out the most natural looks from your subjects. Do so by guiding them through complimenting conversation; in effect, asking serious questions to pull out a thoughtful gaze, or cracking a joke to capture a natural smile. Thank you for watching our six tips to the perfect headshot for your social profile, or any other type of media. A winery is basically where every part of the process of creating wines takes place once the grapes have finished growing and have been harvested. As explained above, though, a winery is not the same as a vineyard. It’s very common for vineyards and wineries to be at the same location and managed by the same people, but there are many cases where they are separated. There are quite a few small, family-owned vineyards in the world which can’t afford to own and run their own wineries, so they ship out their grapes to larger wineries for processing. There are wineries which specialize solely in producing wine from grapes sent to them from smaller vineyards and there are wineries which create wines from both their own grapes and grapes sent to them by others. http://goo.gl/7f1VMh To learn more about hosting your wedding at a winery check out the winery wedding guide http://goo.gl/6JCL6S Call us today for a free pre-wedding consultation or special event so you can make your special day, that much more special.
